2021 First Quarter Newsletter

Dear neighbors,

Welcome to our first of what we plan to be quarterly newsletters. One of our goals this year is to enhance communications. You can expect more messages via email, social media and everyone’s favorite, the sandwich board! If you know a neighbor who is not connected to our mailing list, please forward them this email or point them to the website.

While the pandemic has up-ended life as we knew it, it also was an important reminder of how communities can work together to stay safe, connected, and supported … even when we have to keep our distance. As we look to brighter days ahead, we hope you’ll continue to stay safe and check in on each other.

Best,
Don Burgess, GSCA Board President

The neighborhood yard sale is returning this Spring on April 24. Start cleaning out your closets and stay tuned for more details …

LET’S CONNECT

One of our main goals for 2021 is to open up communications between the board and the neighbors in order to strengthen our connections and work together on keeping Stonehenge the wonderful neighborhood it is.

So, we’ve created a suggestion box, where you can anonymously submit ideas, suggestions and questions. In our next newsletter, we’ll share what was submitted, and do our best to provide responses.

Add your thoughts to the suggestion box here.

We’ve also made an easy form for those of you are who are interested in volunteering through the GSCA. We’re ALWAYS looking for new folks to help out and lend a hand with whatever amount of time they can give, and in the area that interests them most.

To submit a Volunteer Interest Form, just click here.

ANNUAL DUES ARE DUE!

A letter is on the way, but you can submit your dues now securely on the GSCA website.

Click here now to pay your dues ahead of the April 1 deadline.

Please read through the details below and make plans to join in for the fun.

We look forward to making this our brightest holiday season ever with you!

Best,

GSCA Announcements – 1st Quarter of 2020

Hello, fellow neighbors!  The Greater Stonehenge Civic Association has a lot of great things in the works, and we wanted to let you know what’s coming…

First up, we are thrilled to announce that the Stonehenge Garden Club is celebrating its 50th year!

The Garden Club loves to welcome new members into the fold and encourages you to come to one of their meetings to get involved. You’ll enjoy friendship and all things gardening with this welcoming group of Stonehenge neighbors. The Garden Club meets on the third Thursday of every month, at 10:00 am, at the Stonehenge Club. Now is a great time to plan to attend, with spring upon us!  All are welcome! Questions?  Contact Karyn Buckley at (804) 310-2747, or Karyn.Buckley@gmail.com.

Next, we would like to remind you that Annual GSCA Dues are due April 1, 2020!

Please note that annual dues have increased from $35 to $40, effective this year. This will help our Board with increased maintenance costs, along with hosting more social events for our neighborhood. Dues notices will be sent out this week, so look for yours coming soon. The Board is encouraging residents to pay dues via our online portal, if at all possible. This helps us immensely with tracking dues payments as well as eliminating having to manually enter and deposit dues payments. Of course, we will still accept payments via snail mail, when necessary.  Pay your 2020 Annual Dues online HERE.
